Here is some more footage of our close encounter with a Southern Right Whale off the Phillip Island Coast -and our best footage of this wonderful experience.
On Saturday, July 9 we went on the Whale Watching Cruise with Wildlife Coast Cruises, and were extremely fortunate to see a Southern Right Whale. We shot this footage, and like everyone else aboard, we were totally in awe, as it is very rare for a Southern Right Whale to approach a boat!
The whales migrate through Phillip Island annually, so make it one of your 'to do's' if you are in Cowes, or on Phillip Island mid-June through late July / mid August!
We also saw dolphins and seals, as well as our majestic Phillip Island coastline.
