Fascinating Science at the Antarctic Journey

Friday March 30 2018 10:00 am - Sunday April 15 2018 4:00 pm

Music with milk bottles, disappearing pencils and optical illusions are just a few of the hands-on activities that families can enjoy at the Antarctic Journey at the Nobbies.

From Friday 30 March the Antarctic Journey at the Nobbies will play host to a range of intriguing and interactive experiences as part of the Fascinating Science travelling exhibition, created by Questacon – The National Science and Technology Centre in Canberra.

Suitable for the whole family.

Visitors can take part in exciting activities such as creating a pyramid using a spatial puzzle that tests your ability to reconstruct three-dimensional shapes, or using geometric puzzle pieces to create a cat, swan, square or triangle. Fascinating Science focuses on human senses such as psychology, perception, physiology and balance, explored in a fun, interactive way, helping visitors to enjoy learning about science.

When: Fascinating Science will be open at the Antarctic Journey between 10 am and 4 pm from Friday 30 March to Sunday 15 April.

Cost: Entry to the travelling exhibition is FREE with an Antarctic Journey ticket or 4 Parks Pass
